About Dr Emma Hiscutt

Dr Emma Hiscutt is a dermatologist, based in Melbourne. She is a highly trained professional, who is dedicated to her patients and providing them with outstanding dermatological care. She is a calm, competent and reassuring Dermatologist, who believes in holistic medicine and in empowering patients to improve and prevent skin problems.

Dermatologists specialise in the management of skin problems such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin infections, paediatric dermatology, hair and nail conditions. Dr Emma Hiscutt has special interests in skin cancer, medical dermatology (medical problems that affect the skin) and allergic contact dermatitis/patch testing.

Dr Emma undertook her medical training at Cambridge University in the UK, where she was awarded a Master’s in medical sciences (MA). She then went on to complete her medical degree at the University of Oxford, where she was awarded a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (BM BCh) in 2001. 

She then completed both her Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and Specialist training in Dermatology. She also gained a Certificate in Postgraduate Medical Education. Dr Emma moved to Australia in 2009, and after further assessment, was awarded Fellowship of the Australasian College of Dermatology (FACD).

Dr Emma has numerous awards and scholarships and has published research papers in peer reviewed journals. She has presented her work at International Dermatology conferences. She previously worked at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne and at the Alfred Hospital for over 10 years. Emma is currently embarking on further skin cancer research.
